A three-year-old boy is among three people killed in a road crash in Ireland.
A car hit a wall in Cashel in Co Tipperary, Irish police said.
The adult rear-seat passengers, a man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The youngster was fatally injured and was taken to Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel.
The adult male driver and female front-seat passenger, both in their 20s, have also been taken to the hospital, where their condition was described as serious.
The road in the Windmill Knockbulloge area was closed to traffic overnight as emergency services remained at the scene.
Police appealed for any witnesses or anyone with camera footage to contact the investigation team.
The member of the Irish parliament for Tipperary, Michael Lowry, said on Facebook that he understood it was “two grandparents and their 3-years-old grandchild” who “lost their lives in the single-vehicle crash” just outside Cashel.
He said: “Gardai are in the process of informing families and loved ones of the incident and our thoughts and prayers are with them as they receive this devastating news.”

It comes days after four people were killed in a crash in Clonmel, also in Co Tipperary.
Luke McSweeney, 24, his 18-year-old sister Grace McSweeney, Zoey Coffey and Nicole Murphy, both also 18, were killed after the car they were in struck a wall on Friday.

They were on their way to celebrate receiving the results of their Leaving Certificate exams.
Funerals for the four young people will be held later this week after thousands attended a vigil in Clonmel on Sunday.
