Her family said she was awaiting the results of her final chartered accountancy exams.

Lucy’s parents, twin sister, two older sisters, and her partner who lived with Lucy in Irthlingborough, paid tribute to the “cherished” woman.

Claire Shakespeare, Lucy’s mother, said on behalf of the family: “We are all devastated by this immense loss and kindly request privacy as we deeply mourn Lucy’s untimely departure and try to cope with the passing of our cherished daughter, sister, and partner.”

The family thanked the emergency services and members of the public who attended to her at the scene of the collision.

Northamptonshire Police has appealed to witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact the force.
